Infracost Fix
Your cloud bill doesn't need another report, it needs a system that finds the waste, investigates the root cause, and fixes it. Infracost Fix does exactly that.
How it works
Infracost Fix runs a suite of specialized agents, each responsible for one category of waste, like idle and unused resources, cost anomalies, or tagging and cost attribution. Every 24 hours, each agent scans your live cloud estate. When a check fails, it opens an investigation.
The investigation
- Validates it. The agent filters out false positives using past learnings, both from your configuration and your feedback on prior findings. You only see high-confidence savings opportunities, not a raw alert feed.
- Maps it to code. For IaC-managed resources, it traces the finding back to the code that defines it. If no code exists, it links directly to the cloud resource instead.
- Explains it. The agent tells you why the waste exists: an orphaned resource whose code was commented out but never destroyed, a dev environment that was never decommissioned. You get the story behind the finding, not just the finding, so you don't need a meeting to confirm it's real.
- Proposes the fix. It defines the exact remediation steps, plus any additional validation needed to save money safely.
The fix
You choose how the fix gets made:
- Fix it yourself, right where you work. Infracost Fix integrates directly with Infracost Dev, so you can resolve findings with your own AI assistant, whether that's a code change or a direct call to AWS via the AWS MCP.
- Let the agent open the PR. No need to touch it yourself.
- Hand it off. Send the finding to an engineer as a Jira ticket or GitHub issue.
