Your cloud bill doesn't need another report. It needs a system that finds the waste, investigates why it's there, and fixes it. Infracost Fix does that.

Fix is the newest area of Infracost Cloud: it integrates directly with AWS to find and remediate waste already deployed in your accounts. It sits after Dev, which catches cost before you commit, and Check, which enforces policy before you deploy, all three drawing from Infracost, your central FinOps context engine.

From finding to fix

For one beta customer, Infracost Fix found $300K in high-confidence savings opportunities in minutes, fully investigated and ready for action, using nothing but the three agents live at GA.

Fix runs a suite of specialized agents, each responsible for one category of waste: idle infrastructure, tag violations, cost anomalies. Every 24 hours, each agent scans your estate. When a check fails, it doesn't just flag it. It opens an investigation.

The agent validates the finding against past learnings, both from your configuration and your feedback on prior findings, so you see high-confidence opportunities instead of a raw alert feed. It maps the finding to code: tracing IaC-managed resources back to the file that defines them, or linking straight to the cloud resource when no code match is found. And it explains why the waste exists, not just that it does.

Take one real investigation: an agent found 28 idle VPC interface endpoints in a single AWS account. A naive tool would have flagged all 28 and handed over a spreadsheet. Fix's agent investigated each one, cross-referenced it against the Terraform that defined it, and found that 27 were tagged as high-risk base infrastructure and actively referenced in code. It recommended removing exactly one: the endpoint whose Terraform definition had been fully commented out, still processing zero bytes while the bill kept accruing. The finding shipped with the evidence attached, pulled directly from the infrastructure code and the bill.

Once a finding is confirmed, the agent proposes the exact remediation, plus whatever validation is needed to make the change safely. Then you choose how the fix gets made: let the agent open the PR, resolve it yourself through Infracost Dev with your own AI assistant, or hand it to an engineer as a Jira ticket or GitHub issue.

Three agents, live today

Idle & Unused Resources finds AWS infrastructure billed for standing hours or storage with nothing behind it: idle NAT gateways, unattached EBS volumes, orphaned snapshots, stopped RDS instances, and six more categories, each checked daily against your billing and resource data.

Tag Compliance runs your existing Infracost tagging policies as daily checks, then goes further than "this tag is missing." It works out what the correct value should be from the context Infracost Cloud already has before proposing a fix.

Cost Anomaly Investigation picks up where AWS Cost Explorer's anomaly detection leaves off. AWS tells you spend moved. This agent tells you what changed, whether the cost driver is still running, and what your remediation path looks like.

More agents are already on the way, starting with Kubernetes rightsizing.
